HENRY'S HACKS || PROJECT BACK UPS

POST-PRODUCTION

We go to extreme lengths to back up all of our rushes but, we sometimes forget that our projects are just as valuable... especially after you’ve put months

of work into them!

To help me consistently remember to back up my projects, I’ve created

a RED FOLDER on my desktop.

Now, every time I close down my system, I see the red folder beaming out at me and it reminds me to BACK UP MY PROJECT.

This particular folder, I’ve linked to my Google Drive so that I can easily copy

and paste my project and know it’s SECURE IN THE CLOUD.

With each back up, I add the following naming convention to the end of the file: [_BU240201_01].

This way I can keep a consistent record

of previous versions and never mix them up with the working projects.
